Welcome! I’m really glad you decided to stop by and see what’s new! I’m excited to have lots of updates and events to share with you here and on my blog, www.xanga.com/karynlanghorne.

Right now, I'm working hard on my first nonfiction book "Don't Bring Home A White Boy (And Other Notions That Keep Black Women Single)" for Simon and Schuster's Karen Hunter imprint. The book, which is scheduled for release in January 2010, delves into the resistance many black women feel to dating "out"— from family reactions to feeling like a "sellout". This topic tends to generate a lot of controversy, but I think it's important to discuss them openly. I'm all for choices for black women-- so I'm exploring these issues from a historical, social and personal perspective, hoping to neutralize some outdated beliefs and stereotypes. I've been interviewing experts and everyday people, so you've got opinions or stories to share, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd love to hear from you!

Also, I'm excited to be writing for Townsend Press's popular Bluford High series. It's going to be busy writing year! Stay tuned!
